Analytics and feedback

The project's Analytics page shows how your docs are used: what gets read, what readers think of it, which SDKs get downloaded and what people ask the AI chat.

Docs and SDK

MeasureWhat it shows
Total viewsViews of all time
Views this monthViews so far this month
Top pageYour most-read page
Views, last 30 daysDaily views over the past month
Top endpointsThe most-viewed endpoints, with their method, path and views
Page feedbackHelpful and not-helpful votes for each page
SDK downloads by languageDownloads for each language you ship

Chat

MeasureWhat it shows
Total sessionsHow many chats readers have started
Total messagesHow many messages they've sent
Average messages per sessionHow long a chat tends to run
Top queriesWhat readers ask most

Top queries are a good source of what to write next: a question people keep asking is a page your docs need.

Page feedback

Page feedback asks "Was this helpful?" at the bottom of every page. Turn it on in Docs settings, under Feedback. It applies when you save.

Votes are anonymous. Each browser gets one vote per page, and changing an answer replaces it rather than counting twice.

Read the low scorers first

A page with lots of views and mostly unhelpful votes is your best next edit.

Other kinds of analytics

To use your own analytics tool, add its tag with custom code. For how your API is used rather than your docs, see monitoring.
