Octri

sdk settings

Reads and changes your SDK Studio settings: client shape, authentication, reliability, idempotency, output options and the rest. They apply to the next build. Every key is in the settings reference.

A change here publishes the settings straight away, the same as Publish in SDK Studio. It's guarded by a revision number, so if a teammate published in the meantime, the command fails instead of overwriting their change.

bash
octri sdk settings [get | set <key> <value>]

octri sdk settings get

Prints every setting, one line each, with the revision. --json prints the whole document.

Flags

--key <path>string

Prints one setting or one group of them, as a dotted path such as reliability or reliability.maxAttempts.

octri sdk settings set <key> <value>

Changes one setting and keeps every other as it is.

Arguments

<key>stringrequired

A dotted path, such as reliability.maxAttempts or clientStyle. Missing parts are created.

<value>stringrequired

The new value. true, false, null and numbers are read as such, and a value starting with { or [ as JSON. Anything else is text.

Flags

--file <settings.json>path

Replaces every setting with the file's contents, instead of changing one key. Start from what octri sdk settings get --json prints.

--version <version>string

Publishes the settings as a versioned SDK release, such as 2.1.0. It must be higher than the last version you shipped, because registries refuse a version they already hold.

--changelog <text>string

Release notes for that version.

Examples

bash
octri sdk settings get --key reliability
Output
✔ Loading SDK settings
{
  "maxAttempts": 3
}

Change one setting

bash
octri sdk settings set reliability.maxAttempts 5
Output
✔ Publishing settings rev 6 → 7
✔ Settings saved at revision 7.
